Standard spectacle lens – These are typically single vision lenses that have one single prescription across their entire surface and are suitable in all scenarios, whether you need your glasses for driving, working or reading. The term standard is used when the prescription of the lens is not too high nor complicated and usually readily available.
Custom Lenses – high myopia and astigmatism – These lenses cater to those who are highly myopic, hyperopic or astigmatic where standard lenses are not available. These lenses are usually custom made and require a longer duration to be produced. Custom lenses are also prescribed in the event a standard spectacle lens is not able to be fitted accurately into the frame selected.
Bifocal Lenses – A bifocal lens provides distance and near vision in one lens. The near vision correction of the lens is contained in a segment, often visible on the front of the lens. This segment provides the extra power necessary for you to read clearly.
Multifocal Free-Form Lenses – Lenses made from “Free Form” digital surfacing are manufactured with parameters based on complex mathematical calculations from the science known as “Wavefront Physics”. Manufacturing lenses in this way gives each lens its own unique wavefront characteristics, precisely matched to the users’ prescription, providing a clearer image and wider field of view. Benefits of Free Form surfaced lenses also provide better control of image distortion providing unprecedented levels of optical clarity.
Computer Lenses – The tailored design provides spectacle wearers with a sharp and clear visual experience at short and medium distances, adapted to their individual needs: 1. when reading, 2. at work, and 3. for general activities. The effects on posture when using a monitor when using such lenses are that the head and neck remain in a natural position and you will experience total comfort, all day long.
Photochromatic Lenses – Photochromic lenses are lenses that darken on exposure to specific types of light, most commonly ultraviolet (UV)radiation. Once the light source is removed (for example by walking indoors), the lenses will gradually return to their clear state.
