Established in 2014, Eye Braces Clinic has become one of Singapore’s leading eyecare practitioners dedicated to specialty lenses.
At Eye Braces Clinic, we specialise in Orthokeratology (Ortho-K), a type of specialty lenses that corrects the vision of those who do not or are not able to wear glasses or soft contact lenses. Otherwise known as Eye Braces, Ortho-K has shown great promise in slowing down the progression of myopia for children.
Compared to regular contact lens, specialty contact lens is more complex in fitting, requires an in-depth understanding on the lens-eye relationship, takes up more chair time and requires consistent follow-up care. As a part of his post-graduate training, Titus did a preceptorship in LV Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, India. It was during this stint when he experienced firsthand how specialty lenses can transform one’s life – not merely a lifestyle change, but a complete change in the quality of life. It was unequivocally the most impactful moment that defined the course of his career.
Subsequently, for his Fellowship training, Titus was under the mentorship of a world renowned Orthokeratologist who focused on lens designing and simulation using a software. This sparked his interest in Ortho-K and widened the range of eyes that he was able to care for and correct. With time, he honed his skills in this specialised area.
In 2014, Titus decided to start Eye Braces Clinic, which is dedicated to specialty lens, because he saw the need to prioritise the time for patient care and lens designing. This allowed him to focus his energy and effort on improving the eye care process and quality of lens fittings.
Through the years, Titus has helped thousands of patients from various ages to control the progression of myopia as well as achieve optical freedom for their active lifestyles.
